Working with Humanium Metals to turn unwanted firearms into jewelry

The Maine Gun Safety Coalition is incredibly proud to partner with Humanium Metal for a new project in which unwanted firearms are removed from Maine police departments, destroyed, converted to usable material, and then fashioned into high end jewelry.

This project, the first of its kind in the entire country, will turn implements that could have been used to injure or kill into beautiful objects.

Our first collection was this past Saturday at the Falmouth Police Department, with many more to follow.

Falmouth PD destroys unused, unwanted guns with 'Humanium Metals'

A story from News Center Maine on our recent partnership with the Falmouth Police Department and Humanium Metal this past weekend turning unwanted guns into jewelry.

Every gun taken out of circulation is a gun that won't be used in a crime. A gun that won't be stolen from a Maine home. A gun that won't be found by a curious child. A gun that won't be used by a teenager or veteran in a moment of crisis.

This is why we do this work.
