Donate here to the Maine Gun Safety Coalition, a 501.c.4 nonprofit organization engaged in advocacy. MGSC is our d/b/a name. The Coalition’s legal name, from when it was created in 2000, is Maine Citizens Against Handgun Violence.

The Coalition collaborates with legislators and paid advocates to suggest, draft, promote and testify on behalf of gun safety legislation. We endorse legislative candidates who support this cause.

While a donation is not tax deductible, because our advocacy is the most critical aspect of what we do, if the tax deduction is not as important to you, please consider donating to the c.4. Please contact us for information if you would like to donate a gift of stock.

A donation to the Foundation’s programs defrays expenses associated with our Free Gun Locks Program, which provides cable locks to pediatricians’ offices, hospitals, medical facilities, police stations, public safety offices, and at public events throughout the state. It also supports our Gun Give Back Day, Pediatricians Program and efforts to increase awareness about gun violence and how to reduce it in Maine.
